Senate Bill 1058 and Senate Bill 739: Changes in Methods of Reporting
On March 25, 2010 the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) issued an All Facility Letter regarding instructions for reporting mandated by SB 1058 and SB 739. Commencing April 1, 2010, the department will accept data for:
• central line associated bloodstream infections (CLABSIs),
• clostridium difficile infections, and
• Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and vancomycin-resistant enterococcal (VRE) bloodstream infections.
